TimeSpring Inc. (“TimeSpring”) collects information about you when you use our mobile application, website, and other online products and services (collectively, the “Services”) and through other interactions and communications you have with us. TimeSpring is referred to herein as “TimeSpring,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”

This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Use and any conditions and policies referenced on the Services.

What Information Do We Collect?

TimeSpring requires Users to register for an account in order to access and use the Services. If you choose to register for a TimeSpring account, you will be required to provide certain information. We collect information you provide directly to us, which may include your name, e-mail address, postal address, date of birth and payment information. We may also collect information as a result of your communications with us.

Users may sign up for and sign into an account using various social media services, for example, Facebook. When you sign in to your TimeSpring account using a third-party social media service, the social media service will provide us with access to certain information that you have provided to them, and we may use, store, and disclose such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Please note that the manner in which any social media service uses, stores, and discloses your information is governed by the policies of that social media service, and TimeSpring is not liable or responsible for the privacy practices of any social media service.

Any User Content posted by a User to an external platform, such as a third-party social media platform, is available to the public without any expectation of confidentiality or privacy.

By voluntarily providing us with your information, Users consent to our use in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may collect information about your mobile device, including, for example, the hardware model, operating system and version, software and file names and versions, preferred language, unique device identifier, and mobile network information.

When you interact with the Services, we collect server logs, which may include information like device IP address, access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and the third-party site or service you were using before interacting with our Services.

What Information Is Visible or Displayed to the Public?

Accounts created by Users on our Services will not be publically visible. In order to share a message with another User you must know that User’s email address.

How Is Your Information Used?

TimeSpring uses your information to maintain, operate and provide you with full access to our Services. We also collect information to provide customer service, conduct research and improve the Services. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • 1. To register your account with TimeSpring in order to provide you with use of the Services and access to all of its features;
  • 2. To verify your identity when you sign into your account;
  • 3. To administer your account profile and settings;
  • 4. To respond to your inquiries, complaints or customer service requests;
  • 5. To send you e-mail updates regarding changes to our Services, notifications, newsletters or other offers/promotions;
  • 6. To conduct research and surveys on data to improve our Services and/or customize our communications with you.

Upon deactivation/termination of an account, TimeSpring may retain any information within its sole discretion. Information may also be retained to comply with any legal obligations, to resolve disputes or to enforce any of our agreements.

By using or accessing the Services, you are consenting to TimeSpring’s use of Cookies as follows:

“Cookies” are text-only pieces of information that are transferred to an individual’s hard drive or other website-browsing equipment for record-keeping purposes. Certain cookies will be used on the Services regardless of whether you are logged in to your account or not. Like most websites, we use Cookies in order to improve your online experience, for analytics and for marketing, but specifically we use Cookies on the Services for the following purposes:

Analytical Purposes: We use Cookies to analyze user activity in order to improve the Services. For example, by using Cookies we can look at a User’s browsing patterns on the Services. We can use such analysis to gain insights about how to improve the functionality and user experience of the Services.

Your Preferences: We use Cookies to store certain User preferences on our Services. For example, we may store the recent searches you have performed in a Cookie so that we can allow you to easily repeat those searches when you return to our Services.

Marketing: We may use Cookies from third-party partners such as Google and Facebook for marketing purposes. These Cookies allow us to display TimeSpring promotional material to you on other sites you visit across the Internet. We may also share information about your behavior on the Services with third parties (including operators of third-party websites and/or social networking sites) in order to show you targeted advertisements and other content that has been customized for you.

Referral Tracking: We use Cookies to associate User activity with the third-party website that referred the user to our Services, or to associate User activity that we referred to a third-party website. We do not share any personal information or information about individual User activities with these partner entities.

Most web and mobile device browsers automatically accept cookies but, if you prefer, you can change your browser settings to prevent that or to notify you each time a cookie is set. Please note, however, that by blocking or deleting cookies used on the Services, you may not be able to take full advantage of the Services.

Can You Share Content to Your Social Media Accounts?

The Services may integrate with social sharing features and other related tools which allow you share content received or uploaded through the Services with other apps, sites, or media, and vice versa. Your use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the social sharing service. Please refer to the privacy policies of those social sharing services for more information about how they handle the udata you provide to or share through them.

Are There Privacy Policies for Children?

Children’s privacy is very important to us. TimeSpring does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow them to register. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you may use the Services only under the supervision of an adult. If TimeSpring discovers that we have collected information from a child under 13 years of age, we will remove that information immediately and deactivate any accounts. What Information Is Shared with Third Parties?

Information may be shared with third parties only as described in this Privacy Policy. Please note, however, that TimeSpring does not sell User information to third parties. The following Information may be shared with third parties:

  • 1. In order to comply with reporting requirements, subpoenas or similar legal processes as required by law;
  • 2. For purposes of conducting a fraud investigation, intellectual property infringement, piracy or other unlawful activity, or as we believe reasonably necessary to enforce our rights, protect our Users’ safety or the safety of others;
  • 3. In response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements; and
  • 4. With other Users, including any Senders, Recipients or third parties only with your prior consent.

TimeSpring may also provide information to third parties that provide its services to us to help conduct our business activities, such as processing payments and offering customer service. These third parties are obligated to keep your information confidential and are authorized to use only the information deemed necessary to provide their services.
In the event that TimeSpring is involved in a sale of all or a portion of its assets, a merger or acquisition, Users will be notified via e-mail or a notice of such change in ownership will be posted on our Services to inform you of any changes with respect to collecting your information.

How Is Your Information Protected and Stored?

The security of Users’ information is very important to us. TimeSpring follows generally accepted standards when it comes to protecting its Users’ information. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure and TimeSpring makes no guarantee about its security systems being completely secure and safe.

Credit/debit card numbers are never stored on our servers or databases. TimeSpring may store User information on servers or databases located outside of our direct control. Currently, TimeSpring stores content using the third-party storage provider Amazon Web Services Simple Storage Service (“Amazon S3”). Users agree that TimeSpring may exchange information with Amazon S3 in accordance with this Privacy Policy. For more information on Amazon S3, visit https://aws.amazon.com/s3/details/.

TimeSpring stores all User content, including sent messages, pending messages, and information, for the active duration of a User’s account. If a User terminates/deactivates their account, any stored content, information and messages may be lost including sent messages and pending messages (unless storage of such content or information is required by law).

Upon registration of an account with TimeSpring, Users will be prompted to select one or more third-parties who are permitted access to their account in the event of an emergency. In such an event, the third-party will only be allowed to access the User’s account to ensure that any pending messages are successfully sent but will not be allowed to send new messages from the User’s account or to update any of the User’s account information.

What Happens If Your Information Is Compromised?

If a User’s information is compromised, we will notify them immediately via e-mail and/or post a notice on our Services. Notwithstanding the foregoing, TimeSpring will not be liable for any unintentional disclosure or disclosures that occur due to security breaches of our systems and capabilities.

What Options Do Users Have to Limit the Collection of Information?

Users may agree to submit or decline to submit information to us. If a User declines to submit information to us, they will not be able to access or use certain features of our Services.

Users also have the option to update, change, remove, correct or request that certain information be removed from their account profiles. Most changes may be made using the “Settings” feature on each User’s account. If a User wishes to deactivate their account indefinitely, they may do so using the “Setting” feature on their account or by contacting TimeSpring directly to process this request.

Links to Other Websites

Our Services may provide links to other websites whose privacy policies may differ from ours. Linking to other third party websites means that those third party privacy policies will govern. We encourage Users to be cautious when visiting these third party sites and to carefully read and understand its privacy policies.

Notifications, Communications and Other Options

By registering for an account with TimeSpring, Users opt into receiving messages from us. This includes changes to our features, newsletters, promotions and other special offers. If you wish to stop receiving this material, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions in your e-mails or by accessing your account preferences. Please note that by unsubscribing, you will no longer receive e-mails regarding certain updates, offers or improvements to our Services.

English Language

In the event of a conflict between the English language version of this Privacy Policy and any foreign language translation versions thereof, the English language version of this Privacy Policy shall govern and control. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action, and related proceedings will be communicated in English. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, all material found on the Services are solely directed to individuals, companies or other entities located in the United States.
